What am I doing...
Kate Schutte, is a folk singer-songwriter from Minnesota. “All of her artistic expression is authentic because it is deeply rooted in her heart” - Marishka Wierzbicki. She primarily writes in the style of folk, while also performing in Theatre and Musicals. She currently studies Berklee College of Music, majoring in Professional Music with tracks in Songwriting and Production, along with a minor in Musical Theatre. Throughout the summer breaks she also interns at Tangerine Studios in St.Paul Minnesota, in order to learn more about the production field and be able to contribute and work in a lot of different areas of music and be able to clearly explain her vision within her own projects. Kate is a vocal chameleon and is able to sing in any genre presented to her. She is also the co-president of the Sync Licensing club at Berklee, which pairs well with her love of film and media and is useful as she is currently in the works of writing her first musical. She performs as a folk singer songwriter at numerous open mics, while also performing at Berklee including the liberal arts collective and sings on a number of her friends projects, and is in the process of writing her first EP. Kate’s songs are filled with storytelling, and create a feeling of nostalgia and delve into the pains of growing up. She uses music to make people feel understood and creates a space, where everyone feels welcome and seen. In fall 2027 Kate Schutte will be graduating from Berklee, and taking her talents to the big apple in order to pursue her love and career in the arts.
